As the Education Accountant, you will promote the growth and spiritual development of the finance ministry for Education by assisting the Assistant Chief Financial Officer in managing day-to-day financial operations. The key responsiblities of this position include:

• processing month-end journals and managing bank accounts, including cash management and reconciliations;
• ensuring the accuracy and integrity of ledgers and leading the schools audit processes;
• coordinating the workflow of staff to ensure data processing is up to date;
• generating tax invoices as required and managing the import of school ledgers each month;
• maintaining high standards of ledger integrity and financial accuracy;
• preparing monthly management reports for individual schools and the consolidated entity;
• assisting in the preparation of budgets in consultation with each local school;
• preparing annual financial statements, trend reports, and adhoc reports for other departments (e.g., marketing, ICT);
• organising documentation for audits and assisting with the preparation of financial aspects of BOSTES reports;
• conducting regular school visitations to advise bursars on financial processes; and
• acting as a backup for the payroll email account and performing other duties as required.
